The summer brought hiring and promotion news around the Baltimore tech community.
Here’s a rundown of who’s making moves:
Jellyfish hired Cory Hudson as U.S. Creative Director. Formerly of Bannerwave and AOL, Hudson will be looking to grow the company’s U.S. business out of Baltimore. The digital marketing agency also promoted John Mohr to Senior Director of Web Content Strategy. The company is seeking to make its Inner Harbor office the hub of U.S. operations.
Mindgrub announced four promotions: Leah Vogely was promoted to Vice President of Creative Strategy, and Stephanie Stephens was named Senior Project Manager. Brian Thompson was named Director of Web Engineering and David Wikoff was promoted to Senior Architect. Both started as interns with the Locust Point-based software development and marketing agency.

Storyfarm hired James Maravetz as Creative Director. The Howard County native joined the Fells Point-based video production firm following stints with ad agencies in New York, Miami and Los Angeles.
University of Maryland Baltimore named Darryl Carter as venture advisor for its Office of Technology Transfer. Carter, the cofounder of Nora Therapeutics, will work with researchers to identify commercialization opportunities and support the formation of new startups.
Weber Shandwick hired Rachel Pelzer as Senior Account Executive, who previously worked as marketing manager at McClung-Logan Equipment Company. The communications and marketing firm also hired Kaitlyn McCoach as Account Executive.
