Media analytics company iQ media raises $9M Series B from Edison Partners

The company, which employs 80, has more than doubled its staff since the summer of 2014.

iQ media, a media analytics company based in Conshohocken, closed a $9 million Series B from local investors Edison Partners.
The company, founded by CEO John Derham and CTO Lakshmi Venkataswamy, has more than doubled its staff since the summer of 2014 and now employs more than 80, with about 60 of those in Conshohocken. The company also has offices in New York City and Washington, D.C.
iQ raised an undisclosed amount for its Series A from another local investor: GMH Ventures in Newtown Square.

Its customers include the NFL, Mercedes Benz and Legg Mason.
Derham, 49, lives in New Hope, Pa. He founded iQ after two decades of working in marketing for corporations like JPMorgan Chase and Advanta, where cofounder Venkataswamy held executive IT roles. Derham, a Villanova grad, also coaches men’s lacrosse at his alma mater.
