Internship alert: Möbius New Media seeks social media superstar

Mö is looking to help launch a digital media career this summer. Could it be you?

Founded by Matt Urban in 1996, Möbius New Media (also known simply as Mö) is easily one of the longest-existing digital firms in Wilmington. It also lives in a pretty cool space on the second floor of the Grand Opera House.

Not a bad place to spend a few days a week this summer sharpening your social media skills.

Mö is now accepting applications for a summer intern from May through August. Content strategist Stephen Greer describes it as joining a close-knit team of colleagues, most of whom got their start through internships and look forward to helping college students kick off their careers.

On paper, it’s a basic social media marketing internship — an understanding of social media platforms is a requirement — but what Mö is really looking to do is to build on the strengths of its intern, whether it’s website-building or content creation or something else.

“Social media is the starting point,” Greer says.

The Mö summer intern is an unpaid educational position eligible for college credit. Schedule is flexible, with a minimum requirement of two full days or up to four half-days a week. Deadline for applications is May 11.
