Techstars is on the lookout for Internet of Things companies and it’s coming to Philadelphia next month to see what it can find.
The early stage accelerator that runs programs in several U.S. cities partnered with New York City digital ad agency R/GA to launch an accelerator focused on connected devices this fall. Reps from Techstars are coming to Graduate Hospital makerspace NextFab to scout companies on Aug. 14.
Apply to pitchThe accelerator program will be located in New York City, however. Each of the ten invited teams will receive up to $120,000 in seed funding.
The most high-profile local Internet of Things company is probably ThingWorx. The Exton-based firm was acquired by PTC last winter for $112 million.
