Homejoy, a San Francisco-based cleaning service, launched in Philadelphia today.
Backed by First Round Capital, Homejoy allows users to book a house cleaning online for $20/hour. It’s in 13 cities around the country and will have an operations manager on the ground in Philly. The startup partners with local independent cleaners, said spokeswoman Marlo Struve.
Homejoy targeted Philly because of its “growing tech community and young professional base,” Struve said.
Full Disclosure: Technically Philly's office is inside First Round Capital's Philadelphia office.
