Though some cast subtle shade over Philadelphia’s vast historic legacy, there’s no way around the fact that Philly is indeed peppered with historic landmarks.

And of course the newly-opened Museum of the American Revolution knows this well. To help out-of-town visitors get the most out of their Philly trip, it got together with Callowhill branding company Message Agency to put together a mini-site with info on its Old City HQ, including a map of 89 Philly-area historic sites.

Think battlefields, burial grounds, historic houses but also museums and cultural centers. The map lets users filter results by type and topic.

“So many of the iconic moments of the Revolution took place right here in Philadelphia,” Museum President and CEO Michael Quinn said in a statement. “Philadelphia was the de facto national capital, and with this new website we will serve as a portal to the many important places here.”

Phase two of the website, planned for 2018, will allow for user-generated content to make it onto the site as part of what the Museum promises will be an “enhanced digital experience.”

Here’s a quick look at the interactive installations Fishtown-based design agency Bluecadet put together for the Museum.
