Little Italy-based Groove has acquired Baltimore-based firm Oomph Marketing, Groove officials announced Monday.
“Oomph’s culture and expertise is a natural fit for our agency. We’ve often talked about partnering to enhance our client experiences and with Groove’s current growth trajectory, the acquisition makes sense,” Ethan Giffin, Groove’s CEO, said in a release. “We’re excited to welcome the Oomph team and their clients to Groove. We are also excited for Groove’s clients to experience the talent Oomph brings to the table.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Oomph founder Ray Bularz will stay on at Groove as director of brand strategy, according to the release.
“Walk into Groove’s office and you know there is something special there. What Ethan is doing is truly unique in Baltimore and I’m thrilled to be a part of it,” Bularz said in the release. “I know that our combined efforts will offer clients more opportunities for standout creative, growth, and success.”
Founded in 2009, the agency took on two dozen clients in its first year and handles clients including Skillforce, MedStar Health and MECU.
