When the Golden Globe Award nominees show up on Sunday in the hopes of taking home an award or two, there’s one thing they can be sure they’ll be leaving with: a gift bag filled with high-end swag.
The bag-swag has become almost as much of an obsession as the awards themselves, with yearly lists of what’s inside and where you can get the items yourself.
It’s a big deal.
This year’s bag has a Delaware connection: Among the luxury items this year are two books, Frontal Matter: Glue Gone Wild, and Running Wild Anthology of Stories, Vol. 2, the latter featuring the short mystery story “Rehoboth Beach Break” by Cindy Cavett, a freelance writer from Smyrna who also works for the State of Delaware in marketing and communications. Set in Rehoboth, the story involves a pirate, a town treasure and a WBOC reporter.
“It is a surreal feeling to know that your work is going to be read by some of the top-performing artists of our time,” said Cavett, in a press statement. “I am honored to be a part of this momentous occasion and provide a local’s point of view into our diamond state.”
Both anthologies are published by the Los Angeles-based Running Wild Press, founded in 2017 by Lisa Diane Kastner.
The book is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle.
