On Black Friday, Napoleon Suarez got a sweet deal on a phone charger for his mom. He ordered it online from Best Buy.
But it never came. For whatever reason, the package never got to him. He got refunded. Best Buy told him, no problem, just order it again. But at that point, he had missed out on the deal.
That’s not the first time Suarez, 33, has ran into package delivery problems. He’s betting it’s the same for other people, too. That’s why he’s launching Fishbox. Subscribers to Fishbox — a portmanteu of Fishtown, where Suarez lives, and mailbox — get an address where they can send their packages and later either pick them up or get them delivered. (This idea is also being tested in Brooklyn with venture-backed startup Parcel.)
Fishbox will launch for those who live in the Fishtown and Northern Liberties area soon. It’ll cost a monthly fee of between $9 and $29, depending on which plan you choose.

Suarez is still ironing out where the packages will be delivered. He’s also built an app to communicate with customers and process payments.
Suarez is the director of search marketing for Schwenksville, Pa.-based i76 Solutions.
