But if you’re hanging around town this week because there’s just too many darn cool events (or because you are trying to spot Hunter Pence), allow us to help. Below are the three events that we recommend this week.
This week in event highlights: dine with geek girls, decipher Google+ and talk JavaScript.

Girls Geek Dinner #2 – Following up on its inaugural dinner during Philly Tech Week, Girls Geek Dinner is hosting its second ever event at multimedia shop Bluecadet. On the docket for discussion: a roadmap to breaking into the IT industry. The event is for women only. Monday. 6:00 p.m. Northern Liberties. INFO.
NetSquared Tuesday – Google+ hype has died down a bit, which means people can finally start having realistic expectations and conversations about the service. NetSquared has put together a panel this week to help businesses and non-profits make sense of the web’s newest social tool. Learn if Google+ can help you and your mission or, at the very least, snag an invite from someone at the event. Tuesday. 6:00 p.m. Center City. INFO.
PhillyJS Meetup – Meet up with your fellow JavaScript programmers to talk CouchDB, HTML 5 and more in the always fancy Red Tettemer Digs. Thursday. 6:00 p.m. Center CityINFO.
