DreamIt Ventures extends deadline for health IT accelerator applications

Applications for the DreamIt Health Baltimore accelerator are now due Nov. 18.

The first DreamIt Health class was in Philadelphia from April through August 2013.

Stipends of as much as $50,000 are available for 10 startups who successfully apply to the new health IT accelerator from DreamIt Ventures launching in January, said program manager Elliot Menschik.
DreamIt Health Baltimore is now recruiting early-stage health care startups for a four-month accelerator program beginning January 2014. The deadline for applications, originally Nov. 11 (today), has been extended through Nov. 18.

As Technical.ly Baltimore reported, DreamIt Ventures has run accelerator programs nationwide for startups, setting up for a period of three months in different cities. The Philadelphia based accelerator also has programs in New York, Austin and Israel.
Startups picked for the first DreamIt Health Baltimore class will begin the accelerator on Jan. 17, 2014.
The selection process for a local director for the program is on-going, said Menschik.
