The 87ers are about to get based

Thanks to the magic of Twitter, Lil B The Based God is coming to Delaware to try out for the local basketball team.

NBA here I come, it’s my time to shine.”
That’s what Berkeley, Calif.-born rapper Lil B raps in “You’re Going to the League,” one of 33 tracks off his 2014 mixtape “Hoop Life.”
Now, thanks to a Twitter invite from the Delaware 87ers, the Based God’s dream just might come true. (The Sevens are the Development League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers.)

Your move, Lil B. Offer accepted:

This won’t be Lil B’s first D-League tryout. Back in 2012, the rapper tried out for the Santa Cruz Warriors, but failed to make the cut. Since then, the Based God has developed the otherworldly ability to cast curses on NBA players — specifically James Harden and Kevin Durant. Oh, it’s real.
As mentioned in the initial Twitter invite, tryouts for the Sevens will be held at the New Castle Police Athletic League facility on Sept. 19.
