The District has a wealth of coworking options. A recent JLL analysis found that coworking spaces occupy nearly 2 million square feet in metro D.C., and that demand has grown at a rate of close to 200 percent annually over the past five years.
You’ve got your WeWorks, your coves, your MakeOffices and, in a slightly different category, your incubator-style coworking spaces like 1776. Each has its own culture and through these spaces members find not only a place to work, but also a like-minded community.
So here’s something new and a little different: Flow Yoga Center on P Street NW is introducing workFlow coworking — “a free-range workspace designed to encourage mental relaxation, physical well-being, focus & flow in your productive & meaningful workday.”
Always felt like the yoga studio was the perfect place to break out your laptop and get some work done? Here’s your chance!
“WorkFlow is rooted in the idea that life feels better when the walls aren’t so high and firm between our work, our social life, our community, and the wellness practices that support it all,” Flow Yoga Center wellness director Catherine Zack said in a statement.
The space offers your standard coworking membership perks like free coffee and WiFi, as well as some yoga studio-specific benefits like aromatherapy and on-site meditation breaks and, apparently, inspiration rocks.

To be honest, we’re a little curious to know what it would be like to work out of a yoga studio. Stay tuned for the day we give workFlow a try.
