Tysons-based Cvent is back at it again with some more major hiring news.

The company announced its plans to add 1,000 more employees this year,  just as it did in 2018.

Founded in 1999 by CEO Reggie Aggarwal, the company makes software to manage meetings and events, as well as web surveys and email marketing. Cvent has 20 offices worldwide but, locally, the company has more than 100 job openings listed between D.C. and Tysons, where it says a majority of the new employees will be hired.

“As we celebrate our 20th year in business, we continue to grow at an incredible rate. Our unique entrepreneurial culture, global presence, and dedication to our customers has allowed us to hire and retain top talent around the world, and we cannot wait to welcome a new generation of Cventers to our team,” Aggarwal said in the news release.

Current openings at Cvent’s Tyson’s and D.C. offices include positions in sales, tech, finance, marketing, HR, project management and more. Cvent’s VP of HR Sophia MacDonald said in the press release that the company is focusing on recruiting top talent to support its growing customer base.

The announcement comes after Cvent hired 1,000 employees and added more than 5,000 new customers to its portfolio last year. In October 2018, the company also acquired Social Tables, a prominent Washington, D.C.-based events planning software company. Cvent also had a successful first quarter of 2019. After announcing in March that its Tysons headquarters is expanding with 72,000 sq. ft. of office space, Cvent said it added 1, 200 new customers to its portfolio this year already.

“Our unique ability to power the entire meetings and events ecosystem is driving our global growth. We offer the broadest and deepest solutions, helping event planners, marketers, and hoteliers drive revenue and maximize their business impact,” Chuck Ghoorah, Cvent cofounder and president of worldwide sales and marketing said in a statement.

As the 20-year-old company continues to grow, Cvent said it will also expand its office spaces with new locations in Austin an Delhi, while adding to its Canada office.
