Startups with a bent toward social innovation and enterprise can now vie for between $25,000 and $50,000 from the Conscious Venture Lab, the new incubator for “socially conscious” startups in Howard County.
The lab, whose impending opening was announced by Howard County executive Ken Ulman in August, is now accepting applications from startups located across the U.S. Five startups will be chosen for the first class, which will be housed inside the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship.

According to a press release, the 24-week program “will provide entrepreneurs a foundation in building a company with purpose, while also focusing on the tools and skills needed to build highly executable business models and high-performance cultures.”
