Cofense is providing security awareness training to CNA

The partnership comes as part of CNA CyberPrep, the latest addition to CNA’s suite of cyber liability insurance products designed to help companies take a holistic approach to cyber threats.

Leesburg, Va.-based cybersecurity startup Cofense is partnering with CNA Insurance, a provider of customizable business insurance, to provide security awareness training.

The partnership comes as part of CNA CyberPrep, the latest addition to CNA’s suite of cyber liability insurance products designed to help companies take a holistic approach to cyber threats, a press release states. Through this partnership, CNA policyholders will gain access to Cofense cybersecurity solutions at a discounted rate and will be eligible for a Cofense Managed Phishing Assessment, which will provide a report of current phishing risks.

CNA policyholder will also have access to Cofense’s 20 cyber-related computer-based training modules.

“Our relationship with CNA brings together multiple types of risk management services. We are helping to create a comprehensive solution for businesses to remain prepared and competitive,” Rohyt Belani, CEO and cofounder of Cofense, said in a statement. “Working together seamlessly with the other components of CNA CyberPrep, we are confident that our security awareness solutions can help CNA’s policyholders fight phishing threats.”

This partnership comes after Cofense discovered a “for rent” botnet last month, and released a database of 200 million email addresses compromised by sextortion campaigns. The cybersecurity startup is also “advanced talks” to be acquired by BlackRock, a global investment management company, Technical.ly DC previously reported.
