Cnverg is leaving town.
Oh, not like that. Though the interactive business collaboration and visualization startup splits its time between Wilmington and Philly these days, they’re only leaving for a few weeks. Why?
Next week, the startup will be participating in TechCrunch’s Disrupt conference in New York and Web Summit’s Collision conference in Las Vegas.
That means Cnverg has to divide and conquer in order to beat out other startups from around the country. It’s go big, or go home.
“We’ll be going out with a couple of giant touchscreens to each of the conferences,” said cofounder John Kirk. “We’ll work with the teams on each side to facilitate live demos between each of the conferences.”
Developer Abdus Muwwakkil and operations manager Eric Berry have already hit the road and are en route to Las Vegas. The two will be live blogging from Cnverg’s social media accounts.
“Collision is one of the larger conferences, and since it’s closer to [Silicon Valley], it’s got a lot more West Coast attendees,” said Kirk. Cnverg will have the opportunity out there to have open office hours with about 50 Silicon Valley venture capitalists. “We’re really looking to introduce ourselves to the market we’re trying to expand to,” Kirk said.
After Collision, Muwwakkil and Berry will take Cnverg on a road show, stopping in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Boulder, Colo., and Austin, Texas, before heading back East. They’ll be out showing off their product across the country for the next three weeks.
Meanwhile, Kirk and Cnverg cofounder Rick Prieto will be staying a boat on the Hudson River (through Airbnb) and taking a water taxi to Disrupt.
“Disrupt is really the granddaddy of all these conferences for us,” said Kirk. “We’re going to be in the enterprise category, where we’re hoping to have a good showing in the battlefield and win a spot to present onstage.”
We’ll check in with the Cnverg team next week. Until then, make sure to follow their adventures on Twitter and Facebook.
