Clutch: use this ambitious mobile app for all your shopping needs

Based in Lansdale, the company of 15 is led by CEO Ned Moore.

Clutch is an ambitious new mobile shopping app from a Lansdale, Pa. startup. Ready for this?

“If you were to put together a Pinterest, a Facebook and an Amazon that’s the kind of platform that we are trying to be. You can tag the information that you like specific to shopping it,” said cofounder Ned Moore in an interview with BetaKit. “We have the social aspect around the Facebook functionality, and we have a pretty heavy shopping aspect around Amazon.”

Download the Clutch iOS app here.

Here’s what you can do with the app, according to a release:

  • find local deals, which the app will aim to deliver to you at the right time (like a coupon for a store that you’re shopping in at the moment)
  • redeem gift cards and loyalty rewards from your phone
  • check out your friends’ wishlists
  • scan product barcodes to compare prices with similar items

A team of 15, Clutch is led by CEO Moore, who lives in Blue Bell, Pa. The team is currently looking for a larger office space in Ambler, Pa. Moore is joined by cofounders Andy O’Dell and Dan Guy. The cofounders range in age from 34 to 42, the team said through a spokeswoman.
