Christiana Care’s digital Express Check-in expands to lab services

People put off lab tests because they can disrupt an otherwise productive day. The test may take just a few minutes, but the waiting room could add an hour or more.

Christiana Care is fighting long waits for lab services the same way they’ve been fighting long waits at health care centers: with online Express Check-in.

Patients can compare wait times between the five outpatient labs serving Christiana Care in Wilmington, Newark and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, then hold their place in line and arrive shortly before the designated time, with little to no wait.

To use the lab services, go to Christiana Care’s ExpressLab page; open labs using Express Check-in will have a green “save my spot in line” button to the right, beneath that location’s wait time.

For an urgent care Health Care Center Express Check-in (not for life-threatening emergencies), go to the Health Care Center’s check-in page.
