When video budgets started drying up during the recession, video production company Brolik took the startup route: it pivoted.
The only service that was still selling, said cofounder and CEO Jason Brewer, was web design. The 10-year-old company, which relocated from Manayunk to Callowhill in April 2012, is now focused on responsive design and digital strategy. Brolik is also building its own content management system and project management software. The company still does video and post-production projects that are complementary to its interactive work and online marketing campaigns, Brewer said.
Its clients include Reality Sports Online, the fantasy football platform developed by two former Eagles staffers, and boxing retailer Everlast.
The 10-person firm recently hired Jameel Farruk as Director of Client Relations. Farruk previously worked on local startups like Venmo and Inhabi.
On the management side, Brewer is joined by Chief Creative Officer Drew Thomas and Chief Operating Officer Matt Sommer, all 29. Brewer lives in Fishtown, while Thomas lives in Old City and Sommer lives in Pennsport.
