Blue Coats head coach featured on Blue Route podcast

Now that the Delaware Blue Coats are officially based in their new home, the 76ers Field House in Wilmington, you’re going to want to know everything about the NBA G League team, formerly known as the Delaware 87ers (back when they played at the University of Delaware).

Head coach Connor Johnson sat down with The Blue Route, a Philly-based podcast from The Painted Lines, to talk about open tryouts (which will be on Sept. 7 in Wilmington), training camp with the Sixers and why he doesn’t play golf, among other things.

“Here in the G League we’re looking to find guys to restock the roster of our team moving forward,” said Johnson in the podcast, “and at the same time, restock our staff and find guys that we can develop and help in that way. … September’s a huge month for us with getting ready for training camp the 76ers.”
