The Entrepreneurs Forum of Greater Philadelphia has released its annual Philadelphia100 list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the Greater Philly region, and just one Delaware company appears on it this year — Blue Blaze Associates.
Blue Blaze Associates — a certified diverse supplier — is a woman- and LGBT-owned full-service marketing and design agency founded in 2001. Its client portfolio includes University of Delaware, White Horse Village, JPMorgan Chase, Delaware Museum of Natural History and Inductotherm Group.
This isn’t the first time the agency has been Delaware’s sole representation: In 2018, Blue Blaze was the only company from Delaware selected for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. In May of this year, it was honored with the AVA Digital Gold Award in this year’s international AVA Digital Awards, an international competition is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
“Our entire team is excited and honored to be named to this prestigious list, and we congratulate all of our fellow Philly100 winners,” said CEO Sandy Taccone. “Running a business during this pandemic is an extraordinary challenge. Now more than ever, building a solid brand presence with a focused marketing strategy is essential. And that’s what we do best for our clients.”
CSO Wendy Scott told Technical.ly in late March, not long after the COVID-19 pandemic required offices to shut down and people in industries like digital marketing to start working from home, that the team went into overdrive to keep up with their clients, working weekends on top of their regular hours to help clients figure out new marketing strategies.
“We think of remote work as one the key ingredients for us being able to build a high-performance and diverse company and also to be able to deliver services to a broad geographic area,” Scott said at the time.
To be considered for the Philadelphia100, Delaware business that have experienced rapid revenue growth over a three-year period are eligible to apply for the Philadelphia100 in the spring at no cost.
