Bethesda-based Marriott Hotels now offering VR technology to select guests

The hotel company is also launching a virtual reality travel series.

If you’re traveling in a place that’s just too real, you’ll soon have access to a new escapism tool back in your hotel room.
Marriott Hotels (whose parent company Marriott International is still headquartered in Bethesda) recently launched its so-called “VRoom Service.”
Guests will now be able to dive into Marriott’s own travel series, “VR Postcards,” from inside a Samsung Gear VR headset.
The program is kicking off first in London and New York hotels and will then expand to a number of “select” locations.
