The best of #SnowDE, bomb cyclone edition

Before the snow turns to brown slush, it looks good on ya, Delaware.

#SnowDE is technically a public service hashtag, used by DelDOT and the governor’s office to tweet alerts, driving restrictions and snow safety tips. But if we’re being honest, the snow day pics are the best part, and #SnowDE is just too perfect of a hashtag to devote just to road closings (if you really need to know what they are, you should be using the DelDOT app anyway).

It even seemed to catch on with out-of-staters for a minute, probably because, as rumor has it, Delaware was trending around midnight Jan. 5.

Anyway, here are a few of our favorite bomb cyclone #SnowDE tweets:

Rehoboth sunsets

The bucolic countryside

Bethany Beach, looking like a winter postcard

Frosty pups

Warm inside in Wilmington

And chilly in Milford

Plows doing work

Just remember, the winter wonderland has a downside:

Stay warm, y’all!
