Let’s collaborate on something bigger to bring more attention to what is happening here. That’s the goal of Baltimore Innovation Week, Sept. 25 to Oct. 3. And here’s news about one of our anchor events.
The largest ticketed event of the week will be a partnership between Betamore, Plank Industries, Baltimore and Startup Maryland called Beta City.
The daylong event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 1 and include the first public event at the new City Garage incubator from Kevin Plank’s Under Armour spinoff.
Four pieces will make up Beta City, as part of Baltimore Innovation Week:

  • Venture Pitch Day at Betamore, connecting national venture capital leaders to local, early-stage companies.
  • VIP event at City Garage, featuring a campus tour and demos with regional startups.
  • The next version of the Innovation Celebration and a kind of re-incarnated Tech Nite: An evening networking event at City Garage and BIW Innovation Awards ceremony spotlighting individuals and businesses who have made a powerful impact on the region’s economy.
  • Tour stop during Pitch Across Maryland, celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship.

The evening reception will be the largest of Baltimore Innovation Week 2015, featuring food, drink and lots of local technology to play with.
Early-bird tickets for the evening reception are $65, and $175 for the entire day.

The daytime portion will attract venture capitalists from the region and beyond. And don’t forget that the following day will still feature our #BIW15 Business Day programming, even more opportunities to educate and network yourself in this ever-evolving world of entrepreneurship.
