An organization that strives to integrate healthcare into our digital lives has made an end-of-year executive hire.
Health tech company b.well, which recently forged partnerships with a major health platform and a biometric identity verification provider, has appointed Sarah Jones as its chief outcomes officer (COO). Her foci will be client success and “positive patient outcomes,” according to a release.
b.well Vice President of People and Culture Alicia Raymond said in the announcement that this definition of COO (others include chief operations officer) is “not a common role in digital health.”
“In creating this role, b.well is redefining what it means to be a digital health partner and emphasizing meaningful, long-term outcomes,” Raymond said. “Sarah’s appointment underscores our momentum going into 2024 and our commitment to ensuring clients have the support they need to empower consumers.”
Jones previously worked as a vice president of client success at Firefly Health, a company whose LinkedIn notes both a base in Watertown, Massachusetts and a similar focus to b.well’s — making healthcare experiences more seamless and accessible.
In the release, b.well’s founder and CEO Kristen Valdes said Jones’ “deep industry experience makes her a very strong fit for the work b.well is doing.”
The company’s growth trajectory became evident as it outgrew its home offices and relocated to its “cozy living room”-style offices in Federal Hill earlier this year.
