Think what you will, but the quickest wireless network in the Baltimore region is AT&T, according to the Baltimore RootScore Report released this month by RootMetrics.
But when it comes to preventing dropped calls, T-Mobile is your best bet (as noted in the graphic below).

Much of this wireless prowess is the result of AT&T’s LTE network build-out, on which Technically Baltimore has reported. Since launching its LTE service in the Baltimore area:
- AT&T’s average download speeds have increased from 10 Mbps to 19.3 Mbps.
- Its average upload speeds have increased from 3.5 Mbps to 9.7 Mbps.

It should be noted that the RootScore report covers a Baltimore area defined by the U.S. Census that includes parts of Baltimore, Howard and Anne Arundel counties. (In November 2012, AT&T finished its build-out of its LTE network in Anne Arundel County.)
