AstraZeneca’s Fairfax campus is up for sale

“Sources familiar with the offering said the company is looking to sell the campus and then lease it back from the new owner,” the News Journal reports.

Pharma giant AstraZeneca has put its U.S. HQ up for sale. Fear not, though, according to a News Journal report: the drugmaker is looking to sell the Fairfax campus and then lease space from the new owner.
“In order to fully explore this [redevelopment] possibility, AstraZeneca will be soliciting bids from real estate developers in the coming months and that requires us putting the site on the market for sale,” AstraZeneca spokeswoman Abigail Bozrath told the paper.
