Old City’s Artisan Mobile is getting acquired by a Seattle marketing company called Tune, according to a curious VentureBeat story. No other details were reported.
Artisan CEO Bob Moul declined to comment, as did Tune spokeswoman Leah Motz.
Tune has offices in Seattle, San Francisco, New York and in cities abroad. It’s not clear what will happen to Artisan’s staffers, but some have already found new jobs, according to LinkedIn:
- Chris Baglieri, Artisan’s principal software engineer, is now SnipSnap’s VP of Engineering.
- Lead developer Audrey Troutt is now SnipSnap’s director of mobile development.
- Director of Sales Ron Urbanski is back at Dell Boomi (Moul was the CEO of Boomi when it was sold to Dell in 2010).
- Business intelligence and analytics manager Corey Crawford is now at CloudMine.
Artisan Mobile seemed to scale back its team shortly after its $5.5 million Series A raise, which coincided with a move into a new Old City office. Moul was also out raising money earlier this year, and one outlet reported that he was having trouble finding local investors.
