Apply for Women Who Tech’s $50K pitch competition [Startup Roundup]

WHO’S MAKING MOVES?

Arlington-based Endgame demoed a new end-point detection and response platform called “Endgame Enterprise” at the RSA cybersecurity conference in San Francisco.
Women Who Tech, a D.C. group that runs a database of startups led by women throughout the world, launched its first annual “Women Startup Challenge” in partnership with Craigslist founder Craig Newark. Winners will get a chance to pitch their startup to angel and VC investors and win $50,000. Apply by May 7.

WHO’S GETTING FUNDED?

Sagoon, a Woodbridge, Va.-based social media platform that allows users to send self-destructing messages, raised $500,000, according to an SEC filing.
The Bitcoin Shop, an Arlington-based online store for Bitcoin users, raised $2.3 million, according to an SEC filing.
College Park-based DataStream Content Solutions raised $650,000, according to an SEC filing.
EUN Holding, a group of private equity investors that own parts of European fiber network company euNetworks, raised $285 million, according to an SEC filing. The Alexandria-based group is in the midst of a shareholder battle. It announced in November its intentions to buy all remaining shares in euNetworks.
New Enterprise Associates, a VC firm based inCalifornia and Chevy Chase, Md., has raised $3.15 billion for its latest fund.

WHO’S GETTING BUZZ?

Washington, D.C. ranked second — right after Sillicon Valley — in tech talent attractiveness, as computed by CBRE, a Los Angeles real estate and investment firm.
The Washington Post profiled Govloop, “the Facebook for feds and a lot more,” and its recent launch of online courses program GovLoop Academy.
