For more than 30 years, Applied Insight has been designing solutions to help its federal government customers solve tech-oriented problems. The U.S. Air Force’s AMC is headquartered in Illinois at the Scott Air Force Base and supports rapid global mobility for U.S. armed forces and helping sustain them during operations, the press release states.
Applied Insight’s cybersecurity team will work with the U.S. Air Force AMC to provide specialized technical services to its control systems to ensure its networks are secure.
“We’ve been proud to serve the Air Force for many years and are delighted to be extending our support to AMC,” John Hynes, Applied Insight CEO, said in a statement. “For this task, we’ll be leveraging our cybersecurity team’s industry-leading expertise in defensive cyber operations and intimacy with DoD risk management framework compliance.”
This award comes less than a year after Hynes was appointed CEO of the company, bringing 28 years of experience growing mission-oriented technology companies that support the intelligence, defense and federal civilian communities. Since his tenure with Applied Insight, the company has added to its leadership team, relocated its Virginia headquarters from Ashburn to Tysons in April, and launched a new platform-as-a-service cloud technology in June.
The majority of Applied Insight’s work with AMC will be focused on standardizing security documentation to make sure all of its systems are accredited and certified.
“We’re looking forward to playing our part in sustaining AMC’s ability to support U.S. armed forces whenever and wherever they are needed around the world,” Hynes said.
