Hungry at the airport? There’s an app for that

Airport Sherpa is getting some competition at BWI airport from Jourve.

Killing time at BWI airport could be getting easier for travelers.
The company Jourve launched an app this week at Baltimore Washington International-Thurgood Marshall Airport on the heels of Airport Sherpa. Both apps promise to deliver various goods within the airport.
While Airport Sherpa focuses on deliveries for foods, gifts and gadgets, Jourve promises to take care of a wide breadth of tasks. Jourve representatives will hold a spot a baggage claim or check in, or deliver a Chipotle burrito to your gate.
The Baltimore Business Journal reports there are 50 Jourve reps at BWI waiting to take care of users.
A promo video on the Jourve website touts the apps ability to “alleviate much of the stress of airport travel, accommodates you when you’re running late, and instantly connects you with airport vendors, no matter the location.”
A quick check of the apps shows getting someone to pick up your boarding pass will cost $5 and breezing through the check in line since someone waited in your spot will be $20. Food deliveries require deposits of either $20 or $25, and the final amount of a food order will be deducted from the deposit. Jouvve is currently delivering food from Chipotle, McDonald’s, Potbelly and Subway.
