A startup that can link people who get traffic tickets to lawyers that will challenge the violations in court is now in D.C. According to our sister site Technical.ly Baltimore, TIKD is looking to step in for drivers who don’t have time to go to court.

The app allows users to enter info about their ticket, take a photo and pay a fee that’s less than the ticket fine. The company then takes over the rest of the process of handling the citation,, said Director of Marketing Louise Finlay. It’s not a law firm, but hires lawyers that assist in contesting the tickets.
The startup launched in Miami, Fla., and is also available in Central Maryland. Finlay said the company wanted to move into the D.C. area because drivers get lots of tickets.
