Annual vaccine conference kicks off in Wilmington Sunday

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Gregory Poland from the Mayo Clinic.

Fraunhofer USA Center for Molecular Biotechnology is hosting its 11th annual conference on vaccines called, “New Technologies, New Vaccines,” from March 20-23.

The event will be at Hotel du Pont in Wilmington and will feature a keynote address by Dr. Gregory Poland of the Mayo Clinic and sessions that focus on infectious diseases and challenges in vaccine development.

Other topics discussed will include human immunogenomics, challenges faced in vaccine candidate identification and antigen expression, formulations for enhanced potency, stability and delivery and the use of alternative approaches for conducting safety and efficacy evaluations.
