Lorenzo Buffa has built what he calls the first flexible watch made with 100 percent wood.
The former University of the Arts student and recent GoodCompany Group graduate founded Analog Watch Company to sell his watches, which are 90 percent biodegradable.
In the last month, his crowdfunding campaign has raised nearly $58,000, soaring past its $10,000 goal. With less than a week left, Buffa, 26, is still looking for support, as he hopes to develop stone and concrete versions of the watches.

Buffa, who lives in South Philly, recently opened an office and showroom on Passyunk Avenue. Analog Watch Company is currently a one-man show, he said.
