As plans for a Wilmington NextFab location go into motion, the folks at Tech Forum will get an early glimpse of what Delaware’s in for: On Feb. 3, they’re road-tripping to the original Philly site.
They’ll get a private tour of the giant makerspace — or “gym for innovators,” as NextFab likes to say — including its metal and wood shops, 3D-printing lab and laser suite, electronics department, textiles department and large format 2D-printing department.
The bus leaves at 5 p.m. from the parking lot at the corner of Justison Street and Shipyard Drive on the Riverfront.
Registration is $25 for members and $40 for non-members, which covers bus, food and craft beer/beverage costs.
