The American University Game Lab, the D.C. chapter of the International Game Developers Association and the Music and Gaming Festival are once again teaming up to bring us the Smithsonian American Art Museum 2017 Indie Arcade this summer.
The third annual event is scheduled to take place Aug. 5-6.
But before the event can happen, the Game Lab and IGDA are looking for game devs and students who would like to see their games displayed at the arcade. Submitting your game is free, and games can be digital, non-digital or “anything in between.” All submission will be judged based on novelty, professional polish, aesthetics, quality of the game experience and “wow” factor.
For last year’s indie arcade, organizers received over 150 game submissions, from which just 32 were chosen. So competition is fierce but the reward it big — the event attracted 11,700 visitors last year.
So put the polish on that game you’ve been toying with and send it in — submissions are due by April 15.
Find more information, and submit your game, here.
