Johns Hopkins’ student-run health hackathon is going east.
MedHacks will be at Turner Auditorium on the Johns Hopkins Hospital campus in East Baltimore. The event is back for its third edition on Sept. 8-10, and applications to participate are open.

This year’s 36-hour event has new tracks around specific topics like patient safety and quality, as well as medication adherence, said organizer Burton Ye.
The event is also combining forces with another JHU calendar highlight. Ye said the event is also partnering with Johns Hopkins’ Center for Bioengineering and Innovation Design (CBID), which is coordinating its annual design day on Sept. 8 with this year’s event.
