Light up the Grays Ferry Crescent with Arduino fireflies and homemade LED bike lights.
The effort, led by The Hacktory, is part of a week-long celebration to draw attention to the Crescent, an overlooked public park that’s tucked away along the Schuylkill River near the Grays Ferry Bridge.
The Hacktory is holding multiple bike parades (including one tonight) and workshops until Sept. 27. RSVP here.
Funded by the William Penn Foundation, the Grays Ferry Crescent event series is organized by the Schuylkill River Development Corporation in partnership with The Hacktory, Public Workshop and SecondMuse.
Public Workshop, a partner at University City maker and education space Department of Making + Doing with The Hacktory, is also hosting an event this weekend where participants will build bridges, forts and more. Read more about it here.
