Founder Factory: The annual Philly Startup Leaders conference will focus on scaling your startup. Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut Street. University City. RSVP. $25 – $35.

App It Up Fall Challenge: Penn asked its students to develop app ideas. Out of more than 180 finalists, 10 will pitch to a panel of venture capitalists at this event. Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. 2401 Walnut St. RSVP. Free.
