Event Highlights: July 5 – July 11, 2010

It’s back to the daily grind after a weekend of barbeques and fireworks, but the good news is there are plenty of great tech events to move your week along.
You’re in luck if you’re taking a long holiday weekend, as most events are later in the week. As always, there is some overlap, and since you can’t be in two places at once, we’re here to help get the week’s agenda together.
This week, finally get your podcast off the ground, brush up on your PHP and learn how to ask for money.

Tuesday, July 6: This week’s Philly Net Tuesday features discussion of podcasting, videocasting and more hosted by Steve Lubetkin (“Podcast Steve”) of Lubetkin Communications. Gather at the Jenkin’s Law Library for light fare and discussion of editing video and audio content. You can bring your equipment, or just bring questions about the process. Thursday, July 8: If PHP is your thing, don’t miss the latest meeting of the Philly Symfony Users Group. The meeting will begin with informal discussion, and there will be a presentation on an aspect of Symfony development. Friday, July 9: For all those interested in fundraising, it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. Take a break from the normal meetup grind and head over to The July Networking Breakfast hosted by the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is one not to be missed.
