Drexel University‘s HUBO robot spent two days in late December going head to head with 16 other robots from across the country. It was part of a federal robotics challenge that asked teams to develop robots that could respond to radioactive disaster.
Drexel, which led a ten-school team, placed toward the bottom with three points. A robot built by one of Google‘s Japanese robotics research labs took the top spot with 27 points. Read more about the eight finalists who will head to the grand challenge.
