Cool talk alert: How to build up your personal brand as a developer

Yes, software developers are the hottest thing in the job market right now. Yes, local employeers are fighting over qualified talent. But yes, developers must still learn to market themselves in order to stand out and hit the job market in full force.

To aid mid-level coders on their path to a bangin’ new job, New York Code + Design Academy is hosting a workshop this Wednesday called Create a Personal Domain, in which NYCDA alumnus Jack Linton will guide developers on how to best set up a personal website and create eye-catching portfolios.

RSVP

The event is free and happening at WeWork’s Center City location. Devs must have their personal domain set up before the class and have a static website or template ready to deploy.

Though it is based out of Manhattan, NYCDA — which has a Philly campus — is one of two local coding bootcamps not fazed by the high-profile shutdowns of competitors Dev Bootcamp and The Iron Yard.
