Paul Weinstein always wanted his music to sound “Nintendo-esque.” But it was only after he went to 8static, the monthly chiptune concert series, that he realized he could do it, he told Philadelphia Weekly.
Before the concert, Philly chiptune musician Joey Mariano a/k/a Animal Style gave a workshop on how to use a Gameboy as a synthesizer. That was how Weinstein became Chipocrite.
