Learn anodizing at Baltimore Foundery’s project night [Events]

On Thursday, take your pick of two open-project nights hosted by two of Baltimore's makerspaces: it's Open Hack Night at the Node, and it's Project Night at the Foundery.

Another D.C. TechBreakfast takes place Wednesday morning. Head to the Beehive Baltimore on Wednesday evening for the monthly meeting of Baltimore’s Python programmers. On Thursday, take your pick of two open project nights hosted by two of Baltimore’s makerspaces: it’s Open Hack Night at the Node in Station North, and it’s Project Night at the Foundery on South Central Avenue.

Baltimore Python Meetup: There’s no topic set for this month’s meeting of the Baltimore Python group, but Python programmers will be around eating pizza and drinking beer, reason enough to attend. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 7 p.m. Beehive Baltimore, Emerging Technology Center, 2400 Boston St., Canton, Baltimore city. Baltimore Node Open Hack Night: If you’re new to the maker movement, or interested in digital fabrication but don’t know where to start, stopping by the Baltimore Node open house is a good first step. Current Node members will be around and can help you get acclimated with the space and the tools available, which include several 3D printers, power tools, hand tools and more. Thursday, Aug. 22, 7 p.m. Baltimore Node, 403 E. Baltimore Foundery Project Night: Another of Baltimore’s makerspaces is hosts a weekly project night. The Baltimore Foundery downtown will be showing members and walk-ins how to anodize, a process by which metals are coated with a protective oxide layer to prevent rustingThursday, Aug. 22, 6 p.m. Baltimore Foundery, 207 S.
