Women’s Leadership Conference returns IRL to the Chase Center this November

After a virtual 2020, New Castle County Chamber of Commerce's annual event returns Nov. 18.

It’s time again to meet IRL.

New Castle County Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Leadership Conference returns to the Chase Center on the Riverfront on Nov. 18 after a virtual event in 2020.

Doneene Damon, president of Delaware’s largest law firm, Richards, Layton & Finger, will be honored with the Women’s Leadership Award at the 31st annual event.

The conference will also recognize Sharon Anderson, who is the SVP of quality and patient safety and chief virtual health officer at ChristianaCare, with a Lifetime Achievement Award. And Louise Cummings, community advocate and interim executive director for Supporting Kidds, will receive the Trailblazer Award.

The daylong, in-person conference will feature several speakers:

  • “Awkward and Upward! Learning to Enjoy Discomfort for Big Results” from Henna Pryor, executive and performance coach with Pryority Group 
  • Lunchtime keynote from Lu Ann Cahn, author of “I Dare Me,” and Emmy award-winning journalist formerly with NBC10 News Philadelphia
  • “How to Up Your Leadership Game” from Susan Springsteen, cofounder of nth Solutions LLC and president-CEO of H2O Connected LLC
  • “Leading in a Male-Dominated World” from Chrissi Rawak, director of intercollegiate athletics recreation services at University of Delaware

Morning panels will cover the topics of confidence building and equity in the workplace. The event includes networking, an exhibitor showcase and lunch.
