Wilmington’s STEM Queen makes appearance on ‘The View’

Wilmington Urban STEM Initiative founder Jacqueline Means, also known as the STEM Queen, was featured on “The View” this week as part of its “Black History Month FYI” spotlighting two young people “writing the next chapter of history.”

“If you want to talk about people who deserve the Medal of Freedom,” said host Whoopi Goldberg, “here’s two right here.”

Seventeen-year-old Means, a student at Delaware Military Academy, was crowned Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen 2019, has appeared twice with Mario Lopez on “Access Hollywood,” was awarded the Governor’s Youth Service Award, appeared on “The Steve Harvey Show” and, in December, was awarded a T-Mobile Changemaker Grant.

On Twitter, Means thanked Goldberg, noting that the EGOT winner’s work as an advocate for education.
