This Week in Jobs DMV: Super Meetup 2020 Takeover

Virtually, of course.

Editor’s note: Every week we ship an email newsletter featuring the region’s most exciting career opportunities. We’ve lovingly called it This Week in Jobs (aka TWIJ — “twidge.”). Below is this week’s edition. Here’s the last one we published; it’s meant to live in your inbox. Sign up for the newsletter here.

Guess who’s back? Meetup’s back, fell a friend

It’s going to take more than a pandemic to stop our Super Meetup. Obviously our blockbuster annual in-person event — featuring dozens of meetup groups and hundreds of attendees — won’t be happening IRL this year with COVID-19.

But we’ve got a can’t-miss virtual program lined up: We’re talking a tight, 90-minute virtual activation, featuring lightning tech talks followed by trivia on everything from computer history to internet culture to local tech community facts. Yes, it’ll be another Zoom link — but it’s gonna be fun, we swear.

What’s more, no fewer than a dozen tech companies will be hiring at this event. And if you’re a business looking to showcase your culture — or do some hiring yourself — there’s plenty of time to join as a sponsor, too.

The Jobs

Instead of our usual listing of positions, we’re featuring the companies that will be hiring at this year’s Super Meetup. Check out the open roles before chatting with their teams the event:

The End

We’ll be back with our regular list of jobs next week, and in the meantime you can check out the Technical.ly jobs board for all the latest openings.
