Editor’s note: Every week we ship an email newsletter featuring the region’s most exciting career opportunities. We’ve lovingly called it This Week in Jobs (aka TWIJ — “twidge.”). Below is this week’s edition. Here’s the last one we published; it’s meant to live in your inbox. Sign up for the newsletter here.
Guess who’s back? Meetup’s back, fell a friend
It’s going to take more than a pandemic to stop our Super Meetup. Obviously our blockbuster annual in-person event — featuring dozens of meetup groups and hundreds of attendees — won’t be happening IRL this year with COVID-19.
But we’ve got a can’t-miss virtual program lined up: We’re talking a tight, 90-minute virtual activation, featuring lightning tech talks followed by trivia on everything from computer history to internet culture to local tech community facts. Yes, it’ll be another Zoom link — but it’s gonna be fun, we swear.
What’s more, no fewer than a dozen tech companies will be hiring at this event. And if you’re a business looking to showcase your culture — or do some hiring yourself — there’s plenty of time to join as a sponsor, too.
