NextGen Venture Partners has roots as a group of D.C.-area investors. So it makes sense that when its leaders set out to start a podcast, they looked no further than their own backyard.
Each of the first three episodes of “Taking Notes with NextGen” features D.C. technologists. Mike Baird of Avizia talks telehealth and dream jobs. Adam Rogas of cybersecurity company NS8 discusses advertising fraud and failure. Vox VP of People and Culture Alexis Juneja talks abut a building a diverse culture.
Listen“The goal of the podcast is to elevate and amplify the stories of our Venture Partners, who are in the trenches building their businesses,” NextGen Venture Partners Vice President Lisa Cuesta said via email.
The bi-monthly podcast consists of interviews with venture partners and portfolio companies of NextGen, which closed its first fund in March. Cuesta said it will reach beyond D.C., as NextGen has companies and partners nationally.
It’s the second podcast we’ve seen launch locally. This month also brought the release of DC Tech Stories, which features conversations between nontraditional technologists in D.C. and community leader Jessica Bell.
