Pitch the Press, featuring Technical.ly Delaware’s Holly Quinn (that’s me!), will be a WIN Factory MASTERMIND session on March 4, including a half-hour slideshow with tips on how to approach local press for coverage for your startup or small business, with an opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch their own story ideas.

Pitch the Press first started as a weekly session at 1313 Innovation, first as a resource for the coworking space’s startups, and eventually opening up to entrepreneurs and nonprofits from anywhere in Delaware. As a workshop spinoff, it has been presented at the University of Delaware’s Horn Entrepreneurship and Delaware Libraries.

The MASTERMIND series is a weekly workshop held Wednesdays at 7 p.m. by the WIN Factory Wealth League, at its coworking space at 300 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

The workshop will cover the best ways to contact the press, how to effectively pitch your business in an email and what to expect (and not to expect) if you get asked to do an interview.

Entrepreneurs are encouraged to bring business cards and will be able to do quick one-on-one pitches as time allows.

If you’re interested in attending, RSVP at info@winwilmington.com.
